The US Diversity Visa lottery, popularly known as the DV lottery in Nepal, is beginning today, October 1st. This application for the US diversity visa will be provided from 1st October and can be filed till 2nd of November 2013. US Embassy on their press statement said that “We strongly encourage DV program entrants to apply early.” This indicates that the applications are going to come in very rapidly in the US Embassy and looks like early bird will get the reward here. The Embassy also said that the applicants must provide accurate details as possible and consultancy will not help and is just a waste of money. One thing that is to be taken care while applying for Diversity visa is mentioning your spouse name and name of all your children below age of 21 else the application will be rendered invalid. Please make sure that you keep your confirmation number after you register for your DV as it is important for later stages of the procedure. The embassy also went on to add that “If you are selected, this site provides next-step instructions to selectees, including receiving a notification of appointment via the email address provided during in the initial DV form submission,” added the statement.
